The core of my business is providing agronomy consulting with no ties to products or services. This includes my online presence where I do not have advertising on my site or affiliate links in my writing. I work on a fee for service model tailored to individual needs.
The core of my advice is drawing ideas from different systems and applying them in new ways. I work mainly in large-scale irrigated potato production. In my leisure time, I grow a vegetable garden and landscape my yard with native and drought tolerant plants. Over the years, I've noticed that I apply principles I've learned in both areas, even though these tend to be very different worlds.
With the above in mind, I'm expanding this exchange of ideas to an online community. I call it The Plant & Soil Exchange. Keeping to the core of my business, there will be a fee for joining and participating in this community. There will be no ads on the site. By paying the true cost, we can focus on having a manageable size of people, rather than trying to be going for ever-growing numbers to help drive advertising revenue.
The community will be based outside of the social media sphere. This will enable thoughtful posting of ideas rather than simply sharing anything that shows in our news feeds. It will also allow longevity and consistancy as it will not be affected by changing policies and software designs of social media sites.
This to be available to anyone who grows plants and wants to build their soil - home gardener, large-scale producer, market gardener, university researcher, agricultural extension agent, homesteader, agronomist, etc. Please go to the [Introduction] page to learn more about it and to view the pricing options.
